Eolian One Limited
Eolian One Limited was incorporated in December 2013. It raised £4.3 million in equity from private investors and £9.1 million in long term project finance from Santander Bank. In March 2014, it used these funds to acquire the Westnewton wind farm, located in Cumbria, from Broadview Energy. After three and a half years of successful operations, the project was sold to a fund managed by Capital Dynamics in September 2017. Broadview Energy managed the construction, operations, acquisition and disposal, and continues to manage the project on behalf of Capital Dynamics.
The company has now been wound up and funds have been returned to investors yielding an internal rate return of approximately 18%.
Eolian Two Limited
Eolian Two Limited was incorporated on 26th June 2014. It raised £4.8 million in equity from private investors and £14.5 million in long term project finance from Santander Bank. In December 2014, it acquired the land and development rights for the Watford Lodge wind farm, located in Northamptonshire, from Volkswind AG. Broadview Energy managed the construction of the project, which was successfully commissioned in November 2015. After almost two years of successful operations, it was sold to a fund managed by Capital Dynamics in September 2017. Broadview Energy managed the construction, operations, acquisition and disposal, and continues to manage the project on behalf of Capital Dynamics.
The company has now been wound up and funds have been returned to investors yielding an internal rate return of approximately 40%.
Eolian Three Limited
Eolian Three Limited was established in the autumn of 2017 to acquire small scale Feed in Tariff (FiT) and ROC projects. The fund is managed by Broadview Energy and offers attractive prices to vendors based on its competitive funding structure and its ability to manage turbine operations in house.
