Watford Lodge wind farm, comprising of five wind turbines and located near the village of Watford in Northamptonshire, was granted planning permission in December 2011 and went into operation in November 2015. Eolian Two Limited bought the site in November 2014 and Broadview Energy, who managed the construction of the wind farm, now manages the operations on Eolian Two’s behalf.
The five turbine site has a combined installed capacity of up to 10.25MW and provides clean, sustainable electricity for approximately 5,925 households in the local area every year. The wind farm will lead to the displacement of electricity generated by polluting fossil fuels and help plug the energy gap when coal powered fire stations go offline sometime before 2025.
