Seamer
Seamer wind farm, consisting of five turbines, will lie across the administrative boundaries of Hambleton and Stockton-on-Tees. The site is situated on working arable farm land between the villages of Seamer and Hilton.
Planning approval for the full scheme was received in June 2010. Construction commenced in September 2011, civil works and turbine foundations are currently being completed, ready for turbine delivery and installation mid-May 2012. Click here for more information. The wind farm is expected to generate enough electricity to meet the annual needs of 6,400 households in the region.
